Last weekend Steven and I were so honored to be invited to my stepfather's special birthday dinner party. Mom hired a professional chef to prepare a gourmet meal for the 6 of us. What an elegant evening to remember - everything was fabulous! We love you Mr. B:)

Steven is such an amazing man! He built this deck with his own bare hands, all by himself! I was so completely blown away by his effort and will power in getting this job done. I tried to help as much as I could - but I was a real wimp. He did this on his own and I am so proud. Gotta love the last picture;)

.Dad.

I must say... I have never met anyone quite like my Dad before (except for maybe Grandpa:) Really, my Dad is just one of a kind.

He's a man with the silliest sense of humor, most infectious laugh, and is such a hard worker. A guy who will always just 'tell ya like it is' - and I love that! He has done so much for Steven and I - we are forever thankful.

Dad, I hope you know just how much you mean to me. Thank you for being a friend to talk to, a smile I can count on, and a Father I can always be proud to call DAD.

But with a little formula and some tender loving care they should be released soon.

We put the dogs inside, but it was so hilarious when we caught them watching us from inside the window.

Miss. Slinger Speedway

I was so excited to help my dear friend Lynn prep for the Miss. Slinger Speedway pageant! I did her hair and make up (check out the lashes I put on her;) and even gave her the suit & shoes - which won her 2nd Runner Up! She is such a beautiful girl (inside and out). I'm so lucky to have such a friend. And even though she didn't win tonight's competition - she is definitely #1 in my book.

Wicked Weekdays

Well, we had an amazing time earlier this week in the Windy City. The show was terrific - we relaxed at the Sheraton and enjoyed a fabulous meal at Shula's - nothing like a great steak!
Thanks to my wonderful husband for planning such a thoughtful getaway - "because I know you - I have been changed for good" :)

MOM

My Mom is a great woman and one of my best friends. Knowing that I can count on her means so much to me. It's also very comforting to know she is only 2 miles away when we need each other - which can be a lot. I LOVE YOU MOM!

A WICKED Surprise!

My husband is such a sweetheart! He is taking me to see WICKED in Chicago next month for our 4 year anniversary! http://www.wickedthemusical.com/chicago/

I noticed he had marked a special 'date' on the calendar- the broom and witch hat gave me a clue. So he confessed... he got backstage passes for "Behind the Emerald Curtain" - dinner reservations that night - staying over in Chicago - and going to see a matinee of the show the next day! Isn't he romantic? He is so thoughtful and creative. He knows how much I wanted to see it with him!

My wonderful Mother actually introduced me to the show last xmas when she treated my sister and I to a performance... I have been raving about WICKED ever since!!! I listen to the CD in my car ALL of the time! It is the most exciting, uplifting, heartwarming story - I LOVE IT and cannot wait to share it with Steven!

Mares

I have tons of wonderful memories of my Auntie Mares and we made a couple more together yesterday when I went to visit her and my Uncle George. She is such a sweet, funny and generous woman - you can't help but fall in love with her! We all enjoyed delicious food and great conversation. I look forward to seeing them both again soon:)
